Algebra 1

The study of mathematics is very much like learning a new language.  There are many vocabulary terms and complex, interrelated concepts that must be explored.  Mathematics is fundamental to a well-rounded education and will be with all of us throughout our lives, whether it is in the form of doing our personal taxes, running a business, shopping, or entering a math or science related field.  With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, you can accomplish anything that you want to, including being successful in this class.  The tools you learn in this course will help you to be successful in future math classes and on any standardized tests that you may encounter.

If at anytime you have any questions or feel as though you are struggling with any of the material, please do not hesitate to contact me for help.  I am available at the school from 7:00-7:20am and from 2:30-3:00pm everyday.  Do not let problems build up because the math topics that we will explore will build upon one another; waiting too long to seek help will create a snowball effect, and it will be harder to recover from any deficiencies.  I am here to help you so please seek the help if you need it.
